SLOW COOKER KOREAN BEEF

A great recipe for that roast still rattling around in the bottom of your freezer.

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp rice vinegar
2 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp garlic chili paste (or Siriacha)
Combine above ingredients and pour over roast in crock pot
2-3# roast (frozen okay!)

Cooking time depends on your crock pot.  I cook mine on low heat whether I use frozen or thawed roast.  When it’s thawed, I allow for 12 hours.  If it’s frozen, I start it after dinner for dinner the following day.

The roast is done when you can shred for the meal.

Serve with rice and butter or romaine lettuce leaves.  Assemble the meal by prepping the lettuce, fill the leaf with a spoon of rice and beef.  

Toppings to your taste, either diced or cut in matchsticks:
Add salt and pepper to matchstick cut toppings

  • Carrots

  • Cucumbers

  • Radish 

  • Fresh feta

  • Sesame seeds

  • Cilantro
